This is my least favourite of the series written by Gelineau and King but despite that this instalment managed to pull me in and every time I ‘ve thought about it since I’ve finished it, I’ve remembered there’s no more to read right now and I’ve found myself disappointed!
It’s my least favourite I thin,k because I’m not happy with the situation that these guys are in, it can only get worse! I don’t want things to get worse for them!
I didn’t re-read the first one before this one and I can’t remember if there was a reason why Roan and Kay stopped hanging together so it seemed weird to me that they were so separate. I’m also annoyed with Kay for not talking to Roan!! I hope she does soon, I don’t like people being at odds! I feel sorry for Kay’s situation though and I am also a little annoyed at Roan. For all that he cares for her, he’s not noticing things – and I’m not accepting any excuses of “but he’s a man” as men can be observant too. At least someone is willing to listen to her. I hope he’s got some good ideas otherwise things could get sticky…
In this story, they’re training to become razors and even though they’re pretty contained, a little bit of world information sneaks in which I thought was rather woah. Obviously at some point Razors were perhaps like knights or something similar, but now they don’t seem to be too popular and it makes me think even more that this world is in need of serious help. I hope that these 5 can shake the world up enough so that it can be fixed and I really hope they all live through it and meet up in a tavern at the end and swap stories!
My absolute favourite thing about this book ending is that as number 4, it means that the next book to be available is from my favourite series!
