You’ve been warned! If you don’t want to see the contents of August’s FairyLoot box then look no further.
We love receiving Book Stuff. If you want to share any of your latest book related purchases please comment below.
We love seeing what you guys have bought!
Let’s start with a little bit about what FairyLoot Box is.
It’s a monthly subscription service that costs £26 / month plus shipping. If you’re in the UK the shipping is £4.30 and they do ship internationally but I’m not sure how much the shipping costs. There is a new FairyLoot box each month and you can sign up for the boxes individually (at the end of each month) or subscribe for 6 or 12 months at a time.
I personally prefer subscribing each month after I’ve seen what the theme will be.
So Augusts Theme was Dark Deeds – rather cryptic but intriguing all the same.
I had literally no idea what could be in this box but it promised that this box was for those who love unreliable narratives so I was excited to find out which characters it was referring too! (I didn’t receive an itinerary list so I’ve had to do some research into the different ideas I received – sorry if any of them aren’t completely correct).
And here is what I got! Again, another full to the brim box.
1. Malfoy Quote Coaster by Book Otter
2. The Dark Side Candle by Geeky Clean - smells amazing!
3. Rysand Book Boyfriend Soap by Behind the Pages - also smells amazing although I’m not a big fan of glitter so whether I use this is still to be seen.
4. Assassin Nail Art by House of Wonderland
5. Animorphia Notebook illustrated by Kerby Rosanes and produced by Michael O’Mara Books
6. And finally the book itself…. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff!
Now if you remember my recent Illumicrate Unboxing you will know my slight dilemma… For those that don’t… it is this…
Yes that’s right I now have two copies of Nevernight… and while I was initially a little disappointed, I’ve come to realise I now have an awesome signed present to give to someone (because there is always a silver lining). Not forgetting I now have two different bookmarks.
I am totally keeping the fairyloot copy for myself as it came embossed with their logo. All in all a really good box.
I can’t wait for the next one. (September’s Theme is Magic and Mayhem!)
My favourite items this month were the notebook and the coaster – I just love great pieces of graphic art.
