I can tell that it’s Autumn because I seem to have stopped buying contemporary books and light and fluffy fantasy fiction and have moved on to the hard-core fantasy books that I so enjoy now that the weather has turned.

I’m so happy with all the books I’ve collected in September. I can’t wait to get stuck into them.

First up…

Books I Bought…

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

I’ve been waiting for this one since I finished Six of Crows last year. It was my favourite book of 2015.

Three Dark Crowns by Kendra Blake

I loved the sound of this one but I’ve heard mixed reviews of it so far.

A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir

I haven’t read book one yet so I’m not sure why I pre-ordered this but I can’t wait to read the pair back to back. I’m sure from all the positive reviews that I’m going to love this series.

Books from Boxes

Vassa In The Night by Sarah Porter

I hadn’t heard of this book before I received it in my Fairyloot Box but it sounds amazing.

Books from Netgalley

I’ve been trying not to request any more on Netgalley because I have so much on at the moment and I’ve got a huge pile of books still to read. But these two were just to tempting to miss.

The Bear and The Nightingale by Katherine Arden

Sounds so beautiful. I was drawn to it by Naomi Novik’s recommendation.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I’ve seen this everywhere! And not only does it sound great but it’s had some great reviews so far. I need to know why!
