Let’s start with a little bit about what FairyLoot Box is.
It’s a monthly subscription service that costs £26 / month plus shipping. If you’re in the UK the shipping is £4.30 and they do ship internationally but I’m not sure how much the shipping costs. There is a new FairyLoot box each month and you can sign up for the boxes individually (at the end of each month) or subscribe for 6 or 12 months at a time.
I personally prefer subscribing each month after I’ve seen what the theme will be.
So Augusts Theme was Magic and Mayhem!
In this box I got:
1. A Materialki Candle by Castle of Fables
2. Shade of Magic Badges by BookOtter.
3. Felix Felicis Sticker by BookOtter.
4. A Russian Doll Pendant by Pastel Cloud Jewellery.
5. Grisham Second Army Poster by Goodnightkittens.
6. A Grisha Notebook by Literary Emporium.
7. The new Fairyscoop magazine full of interviews and fun stuff.
8. Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom exclusive postcards
9. foiled, Vassa in the Night Bookmark by Behind the Pages.
And finally the book: Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter which came in a fairyloot bag.
What do I think?
This is probably one of the best Fairyloot boxes I’ve had to date. Not only was it jam packed but I loved every single item! V E Schwab and Leigh Bardugo are two of my all time favourite authors and to have lots of items inspired by their work really excited me. I can’t wait to read Vassa in the Night because it sounds like something I would have picked up if I’d heard of it before. And that’s the best part I hadn’t heard of it before! I really like the new bags that the books come in. I will be reusing mine again and again. My favourite item was the Pastel Clouds Necklace. It’s beautiful and dainty and I’ve worn it ever since I opened the box.
