This book was so cute! I was pleasantly surprised by this amazon freebie because it was well written, fun and more importantly, had great characters that were engaging!

Jennifer is about to turn 21 and is determined to lose her virginity. All she needs to do is find a man she likes, overcome her fears and lose her v-card in 60 days… easy right…? Everything starts to fall into place when she goes to a party with her friend Christian and meets the sexy and gorgeous, Dain who actually likes her back! But the path to love never runs smoothly and Jennifer is in for an emotional rollercoaster!

I loved the storyline. When you’re young, being the last to lose your virginity, does become a big thing. I don’t know why, but it does. I was a bit sad that Jennifer seemed so flippant about it at the beginning but I was pleased that she didn’t just jump into bed with the guy on the first date. As much as losing your V-card might seem important, respecting yourself and finding the right person is way more important. I felt Jennifer grew up a lot during the story as she realised this. I loved the love-triangle in this. It was kind of predictable but it really worked because it felt real and when Jennifer was in emotional turmoil, so was I!

My only issue with the whole story was Jennifer’s judgemental edge. I don’t really understand how you can want to lose your virginity with ‘anyone’ and then stand there and slut shame someone else. Not only did she judge her friends Christian and Luke because of their ‘man-whore’ ability to sleep with nearly every girl on campus, but she constantly commented on Kara without really knowing her or understanding the situation. It meant a lot to me that Kara and Jennifer eventually had a heart-to-heart which meant Jennifer finally saw Kara as a human-being but it didn’t help easy the pity-feeling I had for Kara, actually if anything it made it worse. I hope Kara finds true love in the future. She deserves it.

Overall, this is a short story that I think many romance readers will enjoy. It has the right balance of drama and romance without over playing either. I think it’s still free on Amazon so if you get the chance go and download it!
