Please note that Musing Monday has moved from Books and a Beat.

I’m currently reading…Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Heartless

I haven’t actually finished Marissa Meyer’s previous series The Lunar Chronicaes but I couldn’t resist this one any longer. Hopefully I will love it so much I won’t be able to stop myself from picking up the rest of her books.

Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland and a favorite of the unmarried King, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, she wants to open a shop and create delectable pastries. But for her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for a woman who could be a queen.

At a royal ball where Cath is expected to receive the King’s marriage proposal, she meets handsome and mysterious Jest. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the King and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into a secret courtship.

Cath is determined to choose her own destiny. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans.

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION:  ???

I’m writing my post way in advance because I’m not sure where I will be when, over the Christmas period, so unfortunately I don’t know this weeks random question – if someone could comment with it below (hopefully), when I’m back, I will reply and answer it.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Holiday and a Happy New Year!
