Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that other bloggers are welcome to join in, to create Top Ten lists on varying topics. This week it’s Top Ten Authors We’re Dying To Meet
Paein
I’m not sure I’d ACTUALLY like to meet these people, certainly not, right now, I’d have no idea what to say, or how to phrase the questions I have – but in an ideal world where I DID know what to say, here’s who I’d like to meet:
1 J K Rowling
Is she on everyone’s list?!
I’ve watched some of the behind the scenes interviews of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and I’d just like to listen to her talk and observe her at work. She’s the kind of world wise person that really seems to have a lot to teach. Plus she seems like quite a calm soul, that would be nice.
2 Tamora Pierce
I have many questions for her about her worlds. Unfortunately I’m not sure they’ll all be answered with books of their own now, like originally planned – she hasn’t been well, she needs to concentrate on her health!
3 Susan Dennard
I believe I mentioned that I wanted to meet her in a past Musing Monday post, I follow her on Instagram and she posted a picture which has made me highly curious about her writing system. Since then I’ve found out she makes her own beauty products and having just spent my Sunday making 3 batches of whipped body butter, I think we’d have more than a few things to chat about!
4 Alison Goodman
It’s because of her Dark Days Club books that I finally got up the courage to read Pride and Prejudice and I have to say I’m pretty proud of that. I was so scared the way it was written would put me off. So I’d love to tell her that. I’d also love to ask her about The Dark Days Club series! But I know that that would be silly. She has to keep things to herself or no one would buy the books! But maybe the questions I have that aren’t plot sensitive…
5 Alexis Lampley
The creator of the Nerdy Post Box – but she totally counts because she’s also written a book! It’s available as as kindle book right now but I’ve signed up to the special one off Nerdy Post Box that will include a book and it will be her book! I’m looking forward to it.
I’d love to ask her about her hand lettering, watch and learn. I alreadylove watching how she does things on her tablet when she posts videos to Instagram. Her map was fantastic.

6 Colleen Hoover
I follow Colleen Hoover on Facebook and Instagram because I find her antics so amusing! I’d love to meet her and just hang out with her for a day and join in with all her silly pranks…
7 Jojo Moyes
Technically I’ve already met her but I was so tongue tied and in awe of her awesomeness that I couldn’t even say one word to her! I’d love to meet her again and this time just relax and ask all the questions I’ve always wanted to ask her.
8 Gena Showalter
Another woman I follow on Facebook. She seems so nice and I’d love to find out what inspires all her different series.
9 L J Smith
I’ve loved her Nightworld books forever but I’d love to meet her so I can find out why she hasn’t written the 10th book yet. It’s been forever and she still hasn’t finished the series! Come on how much longer are you going to make us wait!!! On a more positive note I’d tell her how much I adored her Forbidden Games Trilogy…
10 V E Schwab
just because… and her cover designer for the Hardback versions of her A Darker Shade of Magic books. Have you seen the collectors edition yet? I need it!!!
Rowling’s on my list too! I’ve re-read her work so many times!
I would love to meet JK Rowling! I have actually met Victoria Schwab, she was such a lovely person!

I feel you about not knowing what to say. When I met John Green at the National Council of Teachers of English conference way back in 2011, one of my friends had to drag me over to him because I was so nervous. Also, socially awkward. Happy reading!
