MARK THE PAGE is a monthly Australian based book  box. Each box contains a newly released book and between 3 and 6 bookish things. They often have special, themed boxes centred around a high profile book. You will get that book and 7 bookish items that fit in with the theme.
MONTHLY BOXES are roughly £25 and SPECIAL BOXES are around £31. Postage to the UK costs £25.

This Box’s theme was GODSGRAVE.

In this box we got:

1. Lipbalm by Kool and Co.
2.Exclusive bath salts by A Little Touch of Books
3. Don Tric candle by A Little Touch of Books
4. Mia and Tric magnitic bookmarks by Read and Wonder
5. Double sided bookmark by Read the Stars
6. Tote by Ink and Wonder Designs
7. wall print by TJ Lubrano
8. Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff

My thoughts:

Oh gosh, this box was such a disappointment for me. I mean, I know that nothing could compare to the ACOWAR box, but this was so vastly different. Firstly it was late, I believe they were waiting on an item but considering it was meant to be coming around the same time as the Tower of Dawn box it came over a month later. Also there were spoilers up on their Instagram before I received my box, I did think it had got lost in the post! But it turned up 3 days after I finally sent them a message asking if they had any tracking details. Typical.

At this point I’d already started to read the second book because I was impatient, then decided I’d wait for the paperback rather than keep reading my limited edition one, discovered a spoiler I really don’t think I’ll be happy with and completely lost interest so I wasn’t exactly excited for the box any more. I WAS prepared to be pleasantly surprised though.

Firstly, the book. This isn’t MTP’s fault – the book is terrible, one of those floppy paperbacks. The signed bookplate that came with it was stuck in it!! I don’t know if they were received that way, but I never stick mine in. The paper of the sticker is so different to the paper of the book, I just hate it.
The lip balm smells faintly of strawberries which confused me, but half of it is stick in the lid so that’s annoying. Maybe it will come out next summer and become one again.
Both my print and my book pages were bent. Which is a shame as I do really like TJ Lubrano’s artwork.

And, after such negativity lets end on some positives, the bag is fantastic and the candle smells really good!

Have you read Godsgrave? Should I try again? I’ve just seen something at the end of the book which makes me want to, it has to be said…
