Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.
It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This weeks topic is Top Ten Books We’ve Decided We’re No Longer Interested In Reading
Paein
I recently cleared some books from my selves and these are some of the ones I removed.
1 Broken Sky
by L.A. Weatherly
I read one of her other books several years ago and this was one of the buy one get one half price books that went with the book I was getting for “the first book you see in a book store” for a past challenge some years ago so I thought I’d give it a try.
Except I never did and now it’s going..
2 Gone Girl
by Gillian Flynn
I had thoughts about reading it before I saw the film.
Then I saw the film and had vague notions I’d still read the book, but nope.
Don’t really want to read the book now thanks.
3 Scarlet
by A.C. Gaughen
I like Robin Hood retellings. This one seems interesting but the love triangle is a bit meh.
I don’t like love triangles and it also makes no mention of Marian.
No thank you.
4 Far From You
by Tess Sharpe
I don’t even remember what this one is about!
Oh yeah (read the blurb), while they mystery might be really interesting I don’t want to read about her hitting rock bottom first.
I might like it if I read it but I have too many books I really want to read to keep this one lounging on the shelf any longer.
5 Voyager
by Diana Gabaldon
I loved the first book, the second was harder going and really I don’t know that I can take any more of their pain.
This is book three and there will be 10, what else is going to happen??!
Now that I know there’s a reason for Jamie’s ghost showing up in the beginning of book 1 and that it will be explained in the last book I’m really curious about that (because I thought it was obvious, so that mean’s I’m probably wrong…) but I’m not curious enough to go through many more battles.
I might dip in and out of the show though, because some of the photographs on social media have me curious but I’m not interested in reading (or listening) to this book anymore.

6 Ink Exchange
by Melissa Marr
I read Wicked Lovely a really long time ago and at the time thought ‘Yeah it’s alright, I’ll try book two’ and bought it, but now, I’m not at all interested in reading it. It was a hard slog to get through Wicked Lovely and can’t even bare to think about trying to get through Ink Exchange. There are just better Fae books out there to read. The covers are pretty though.
7 What I Was
by Meg Rosoff
Along with all her other books. I got a box set of her books and thought I’d give them a go but after reading How I Live Now I’m thinking I’ll give them a miss. I didn’t really enjoy it.
8 The White Queen
by Phillippa Gregory
I really wanted to read these when they first came out but then I saw the tv adaptation and read some reviews only to come to the conclusion that these aren’t really for me.
9 My Sister’s Keeper
by Jodi Picoult
I bought this way back when i was trying to find my favourite reading genre. Lets just say I’m now pretty sure this isnt it.
10 Confessions of a Shopaholic
by Sophie Kinsella
While I think this could be rather entertaining to read, I don’t think I will get round to reading it.
I haven’t read any of these, but I did watch Gone Girl. It was interesting, but I won’t read the book. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I haven’t read any of these. But yes, I wanted to read Outlander series at some point. I am not sure though when that time will come The size of the series just make me afraid? They are too big. I would rather prefer to watch the TV series
