The fact that this was read by Eddie Redmayne in character as Newt just makes this pure gold. This is, of course, why I bought the audio book and I really do recommend it.

This is an updated version of the original little red book which means that there were new creatures in there. Creatures from the film! Thunder birds etc.
It even addresses ‘accusations’ levelled at Newt by Rita Skeeter, which was just hilarious and a nice little tie in to all the other trouble she has caused.

There isn’t much to be said about this one to be honest as it was only around two hours long. I listened to this one on normal speed as Eddie speaks at a more normal and consistent rate and 1.2 was way too fast. I listened to it while shovelling snow and it made me laugh a time or two.

I will probably listen to it again some time and actually make note of the bits I liked, but it was a good one to listen to while doing tasks because if you missed an entry it didn’t matter, you didn’t loose all understanding – in fact you probably didn’t even notice!
