Paein: Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda  by Becky Albertalli. I didn’t expect this to be my kind of book at all. Boy was I wrong! It was an adorable romance.

Ms4Tune: Strangely, King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard, didn’t expect to be saying that (but my lack of reading has pushed this to the top)

What was your least favourite book this month?

Paein: The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert It had a good start and a good idea, but in the end it got a bit weird. Not good weird. Plus it was my only not-5-star review this month

The Hazel Wood

Ms4Tune: The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo I didn’t even finish it. I found it all too fluffy – the romance was too fast and sickly.

What do you want to read next?

Paein: I’d like to read something with adventures and swords, but I need to read: The Last Hour by Harry Sidebottom after The Brass City I’d like to listen to Altered Carbon by Richard K. Morgan next too. I liked the show on Netflix.

Oh dear not very well then… March will be my month though… I can feel it!

Any rants or raves?
Anything to boast or even just chat about?

Paein: I was invited to read Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian! That was pretty exciting. Looking forward to that. Actually I’ve received a lot of book emails this month, but it’s been a weird month, I haven’t been able to read my emails properly. I hope to attend to them more fully next week.

Also it snowed here and I got snowed in and had 3 days off work! I loved it. The snow, not just the days off work, though they were an added bonus! I really should have managed to get masses of reading time out of it – but I kept trying to dig myself out in the spirit of showing willing and that takes a lot of time, especially when it snows overnight and you have to start again…I did burn through audio books though so that’s something. I…need to go move more snow now…

Ms4Tune: Oh so much!!! Let’s see if I can remember everything!

1. Does anyone else get the Wordery emails? No, well maybe you should sign up, even if you don’t read them. Someone has a wicked sense of humor in the advertising department because theyre email titles are hilarious! They have been the highlight of some of my worst days. (I have returned to work and it’s been hard to say the least). I will give you a couple of examples… one that made me smile… ‘Treat Yourshelf’ and on Valentines day I received ‘Is that a hardcover or are you happy to see me…’ pahhaha

2. The BBC are rebooting the Hitchhiker’s Guide Radio Series and actually bringing back the original cast! (basically theyre adding Eoin colfer’s book and other unpublished material! Eeek!) - Source – Book Riot

3. The BBC are also developing a six-part series based on Terry Pratchett’s The Watch! Soo excited to see that! - Source – Book Riot

4. Titan Books and Twentieth Century Fox are publising some Firefly Books based on the TV series. Really excited about that one! - Source – Book Riot again!

5. oh and Holly Black is visiting the UK for a book tour!! Just wish I could go :( - Source – Holly Black’s Instagram Page
