My thoughts:

This box smelled amazing and I’m pretty sure it’s all to do with the bath bomb! I have to say that originally I thought it was a candle and I was a little disappointed to discover that it was a bath bomb on closer inspection because I don’t like baths. Luckily I know people that do and they will be pleased to have this!

The bookmarks are of the sisters from the book and I look forward to reading about them! The backs are so pretty to me that I will be including a picture of them in my Instagram gallery!

The book sounds dark and powerful and might just be the book to break m out of this book hangover I have! But I always like to keep them a little while before I read them – I don’t know why. I’m pleased that the blurb also talks of saving the sisters as they were the first victims, but I will have to see how it unfolds.

I thought the water bottle was a flask so that I could have mermaid tea, which would have been fun but for some reason I’m squeamish about metal water bottles and my teeth, flasks not so much – maybe because you’re being careful with them anyway?

Also there is a pendant that might have some connection to the book? I will find out when I read it. It’s got a lovely quote on it and I think I may turn it into a bookmark!

And finally a lip balm! I love lip balms. This one is vanilla and I’m going to add it to my stash and keep putting off using it so that I don’t finish it and have none left! I did expect it to be more mermaid-y, to have sea salt scent or something but then I guess mermaid kisses were meant to be pleasant and distracting to their victims?

This seems to be a particularly focused box this month – which is probably to do with the fact that mermaids are a thing as apposed to a more general theme. This isn’t a bad thing, more general themes are great, I’m just trying to describe why I think this box feels snug, did it work?
