This here is an example of the only book I know of that I’ve read BEFORE seeing the film and yet I most certainly prefer the film. I think, perhaps, it;’s the ending.
I feel that the book is too close to the disney version after the vastly different storyline. The ending of the film, in my opinion, fit better within the whole.
But this is about the book.
“This is Beauty and the Beast in book form for the teens of today!” or something along those lines. Since I read it, it has become part of a series, which I am interested in reading one day, but I haven’t yet done so, therefore I can only talk of this book as a stand-alone.
I feel that this storyline may make this legend more relateable. Today, there are few stranded places for a disgraced prince to hole up, but every school has one of THOSE kids…I’ll leave it up to you which one I mean…
It was a well written adaptation and i look forward to investigating further at a later date.
