Let’s be honest, these guys don’t look anything pretty when they’re new:

So I bought some string and it came on these reels. As I said, not so pretty. So, I added them to some strong coffee! As you do.

I left them over night and turned them around. If they develop a ‘tide line’ that is too dark, just turn it over and let it soak away. Don’t leave them in the coffee too long or you’ll be permanently turning them over to get rid of the tide marks. Once they’re a colour happy with, pop them on a drying rack and leave them for a few days, if you can, put them somewhere warm. Once they’re sutable dry, you can put various pretty things on them!:
