1 The Invasion of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling #2) by Erika Johansen

22698568
I loved the fist book so much, I really can’t wait to see what happens next. I especially loved the glimpses of the future at the start of each chapter, I hope that continues into this book, but also this one promises to show some of the past as well.
With each passing day, Kelsea Glynn is growing into her new responsibilities as Queen of the Tearling. By stopping the shipments of slaves to the neighboring kingdom of Mortmesne, she crossed the Red Queen, a brutal ruler whose power derives from dark magic, who is sending her fearsome army into the Tearling to take what is hers. And nothing can stop the invasion. But as the Mort army draws ever closer, Kelsea develops a mysterious connection to a time before the Crossing, and she finds herself relying on a strange and possibly dangerous ally: a woman named Lily, fighting for her life in a world where being female can feel like a crime. The fate of the Tearling —and that of Kelsea’s own soul—may rest with Lily and her story, but Kelsea may not have enough time to find out.

2 Winter (The Lunar Chronicles #4) by Marissa Meyer

SO EXCITING!!! The end is near! I can’t wait to read about Snow White. She’s become a recent favourite thanks to Once Upon A Time, but this Snow looks to be just as interesting in her own way. It’s a whole year away still though, so that’s a little sad, but there is a novella first, about the evil queen. Somewhat less interesting, but at the same time it may hold important clues!
This book will feature Cinder and Snow White and will take place on the moon.

3 Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge

21570318So far I’ve loved her books. This is an interesting sounding take on Red Riding Hood, but i’m looking forward to reading it never the less.
When Rachelle was fifteen she was good—apprenticed to her aunt and in training to protect her village from dark magic. But she was also reckless— straying from the forest path in search of a way to free her world from the threat of eternal darkness. After an illicit meeting goes dreadfully wrong, Rachelle is forced to make a terrible choice that binds her to the very evil she had hoped to defeat.
Three years later, Rachelle has given her life to serving the realm, fighting deadly creatures in an effort to atone. When the king orders her to guard his son Armand—the man she hates most—Rachelle forces Armand to help her find the legendary sword that might save their world. As the two become unexpected allies, they uncover far-reaching conspiracies, hidden magic, and a love that may be their undoing. In a palace built on unbelievable wealth and dangerous secrets, can Rachelle discover the truth and stop the fall of endless night?
Inspired by the classic fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood, Crimson Bound is an exhilarating tale of darkness, love, and redemption.(This is a standalone novel, not part of the Cruel Beauty Universe.)

4 The Winner’s Crime (The Winner’s Trilogy #2) by Marie Rutkoski

20443207
I wasn’t sure about adding this one as I’ve been granted a review copy by Net Galley (I hope to get to read it by the end of this week so stay tuned!) , but as I’m excited to read it and I plan on buying a copy when it comes out anyway, I thought it only fair. I can’t wait to read it! I bet it breaks my heart!
Book two of the dazzling Winner’s Trilogy is a fight to the death as Kestrel risks betrayal of country for love.
The engagement of Lady Kestrel to Valoria’s crown prince means one celebration after another. But to Kestrel it means living in a cage of her own making. As the wedding approaches, she aches to tell Arin the truth about her engagement…if she could only trust him. Yet can she even trust herself? For—unknown to Arin—Kestrel is becoming a skilled practitioner of deceit: an anonymous spy passing information to Herran, and close to uncovering a shocking secret.
As Arin enlists dangerous allies in the struggle to keep his country’s freedom, he can’t fight the suspicion that Kestrel knows more than she shows. In the end, it might not be a dagger in the dark that cuts him open, but the truth. And when that happens, Kestrel and Arin learn just how much their crimes will cost them.

5 Untitled Circle (Tris) Book (Emelan #12) by Tamora Pierce

n32967
Ok, so this isnt’ the cover, but there isn’t one yet. And as this is called “Tris’s Book” It covers all the bases. I’m actually so excited for this book and I do hope it does come out next year. I can’t wait to find out how Tris does at Uni. She’s the most grown up of them all, but at the same time she’s the least accepting of herself. She wants to be able to do normal magic because her natural magic is so powerful and scary, especially for someone her age. I’m hoping that she’ll find someone who’ll show her how amazing she is just the way she is, she doesn’t believe the others when they tell her so, because they’re family and family is supposed to tell you that.
Tris enrolls at the mages’ university in Lightsbridge under an assumed name, in an attempt to become an ordinary mage practicing normal academic magic (spells, charms, potions) with no one knowing her real name or power.

I tried to find new books for this one as most of the books I’m most looking forward too in 2015 are on my list for Top Ten Sequels I Can’t Wait To Get. So here are some brand new books out that I can’t wait to read!

6. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

This isn’t out till May 2015, but there are sooo many reasons why I need this in my life. Not only is it a new series by a great author but its a Beauty and the Beast and Faerie Lore blended story!

Thorns and RosesWhen nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

7. The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black

I’m really intrigued to see what Holly Black has in store for us in her new book. Due for release January 2015… not long to wait now!

darkest forest

Children can have a cruel, absolute sense of justice. Children can kill a monster and feel quite proud of themselves. A girl can look at her brother and believe they’re destined to be a knight and a bard who battle evil. She can believe she’s found the thing she’s been made for.

Hazel lives with her brother, Ben, in the strange town of Fairfold where humans and fae exist side by side. The faeries’ seemingly harmless magic attracts tourists, but Hazel knows how dangerous they can be, and she knows how to stop them. Or she did, once.

At the center of it all, there is a glass coffin in the woods. It rests right on the ground and in it sleeps a boy with horns on his head and ears as pointed as knives. Hazel and Ben were both in love with him as children. The boy has slept there for generations, never waking.

Until one day, he does…

As the world turns upside down, Hazel tries to remember her years pretending to be a knight. But swept up in new love, shifting loyalties, and the fresh sting of betrayal, will it be enough?

8. The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent

Soul-consuming Demons! Hells Bells this sounds so good! This isn’t out till June 2015 but I’m excited. Rachel Vincent is known for her exciting and action packed paranormals so this is definitely one to watch.

stars rise

Sixteen-year-old Nina Kane should be worrying about her immortal soul, but she’s too busy trying to actually survive. Her town’s population has been decimated by soul-consuming demons, and souls are in short supply. Watching over her younger sister, Mellie, and scraping together food and money are all that matters. The two of them are a family. They gave up on their deadbeat mom a long time ago.

When Nina discovers that Mellie is keeping a secret that threatens their very existence, she’ll do anything to protect her. Because in New Temperance, sins are prosecuted as crimes by the brutal Church and its army of black-robed exorcists. And Mellie’s sin has put her in serious trouble.

To keep them both alive, Nina will need to trust Finn, a fugitive with deep green eyes who has already saved her life once and who might just be an exorcist. But what kind of exorcist wears a hoodie?

Wanted by the Church and hunted by dark forces, Nina knows she can’t survive on her own. She needs Finn and his group of rogue friends just as much as they need her.

9. The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey

I’ve had this one on my wish list for about 6 months now and on order for almost the same amount of time. Out April 2015 I still have a huge wait ahead of me. Lets hope its worth it!

girl at midnight

Beneath the streets of New York City live the Avicen, an ancient race of people with feathers for hair and magic running through their veins. Age-old enchantments keep them hidden from humans. All but one. Echo is a runaway pickpocket who survives by selling stolen treasures on the black market, and the Avicen are the only family she’s ever known.

Echo is clever and daring, and at times she can be brash, but above all else she’s fiercely loyal. So when a centuries-old war crests on the borders of her home, she decides it’s time to act.

Legend has it that there is a way to end the conflict once and for all: find the Firebird, a mythical entity believed to possess power the likes of which the world has never seen. It will be no easy task, but if life as a thief has taught Echo anything, it’s how to hunt down what she wants . . . and how to take it.

But some jobs aren’t as straightforward as they seem. And this one might just set the world on fire

10. The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly by Stephanie Oakes

This is a modern retelling of The Handless Maiden, a Grimm Fairy Tale, (apparently its a story about how the Devil orders a girl’s hands cut off). This is the continued story of how a girl grows out of the wreckage of corrupted faith. Thoroughly intrigued.

sacred minnowWhen seventeen-year-old Minnow stumbles out of the woods one winter morning, she is haunted and handless and covered in someone else’s blood. She has just escaped the strict religious commune run by a cruel man named the Prophet. In exchange for freedom, she leaves behind her family, her home, and Jude–an outsider boy who changed everything.

But the real world isn’t the sanctuary Minnow imagined. Soon, she gets arrested and placed in juvenile detention. Now, Minnow is being questioned by an FBI psychiatrist about the night she escaped, the same night the Prophet was burned to death in his own home—a murder Minnow may be responsible for.
