6 The Miniaturist
by Jessie Burton
Winner of the Waterstones Book of the Year 2014, That’s basically why I’m interested to read this. I’m intrigued to see why it won.
7 The Bone Clocks
by David Mitchell
I have seen Cloud Atlas (I have yet to brave the complexity of the book) and I really enjoyed all the intertwining storylines. So I am hoping for more of the same in David Mitchell’s new novel. Sounds good anyway.
8 The Paying Guest
by Sarah Waters
I haven’t read any of Sarah Waters’ books yet but I like the sound of this one. All the goodreads friends that have read this have had very high praise for it.
9 The Rosie Project
by Graeme Simsion
I’ve seen this everywhere this year and have been dying to read it. It just sounds so awkwardly sweet. I hope I do get this one so I can find out why it was in the top 10 lists for so long!
10 Faking Normal
by Courtney C Stevens
I’ve had this on my to read shelf for a while and I keep being drawn back to it by that beautiful cover. I want to find out what secrets lie in Alexi’s past. It sounds so sad but mysterious at the same time.
The Miniaturist is on my wishlist too!
Happy reading!
