Usually I wont read a book randomly from a series, but I’d already started this one when found out. I’m not sure if that effected my understanding or not.
I’m not sure what was going on, reincarnation or time travel? Both? And poor Jean-Daniel, he got the short end of the stick, what happened in Egypt?
I loved the idea of this story, how it was executed however was very confusing. I wasn’t sure about the writing style for this one. A bit too many similes sort of thrown in about the place and I wasn’t sure it was meant to be a romance or an erotica, there seemed to be not enough weight for either. I wasn’t convinced about the characters and the brother seemed to be there to add a little something that didn’t quite turn up. I sort of feel sorry for him, being so apparently different except sort of the same.
The Egyptian relics were the most interesting part of this story and they weren’t explained very well. Is this a theme throughout the books? I’m not sure, unfortunately while I’m curious it appears these books are not for me.
