Top Ten Tuesdays: Ten Authors I REALLY Want To Meet

pamstopten

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that other bloggers are welcome to join in, to create Top Ten lists on varying topics. This week it’s Top Ten Authors I REALLY Want To Meet.

Paein

Well this is a hard one, having previously met Maria V Snyder and being too shy’ scared to be cliche to actually ask questions, I’d quite happily never meet any authors again! However:

.

marissa meyer1 Marissa Meyer

I love her books and she’s an auto buy author for me now. I just think that her Lunar Chronicles are so different. I’d love to talk to her about them. And her future books too!

.

.

Marie Rutkoski

2 Marie Rutkoski

I’m obsessed with her Winners Curse series. I need the next book now! I haven’t read any of her other books, I’m not sure that they’re for me, but the Winners Curse series would make amazing films and I wonder if Marie would agree.

.

William Joyce

3 William Joyce

His books were the inspiration for film Rise of The Guardians. I’ve read the picture books and I own the novels 1-4 but I’ve yet to read them.

.

Sebastien de Castell.

4 Sebastien de Castell

I found his books through Netgalley and I love them! They would make hilarious and epic films.

.

johansen, erika5 Erika Johansen

The author of The Queen of The Tearling which I love, I can’t wait for the next one! When the series is done I’d love to talk to her about them. I’m also super excited for the film staring Emma Watson! Love her too.

Gena

I love her writing. I’d love to ask her who she would have play each of the Lords if her Lords of the Underworld series was ever made into a tv series. I also follow her on Facebook and she seems so down to earth and interesting. She also has the cutest Dogs.

BB

L J Smith

7 Lisa Jane Smith

I’ve loved L J Smith’s work since I was a teenager! I’d love to sit down with her and discover where all her ideas come from. Talk to her about Soulmates and destinies. Find out what she thinks of the Vampire Diaries TV series and how she felt about having a ghost writer continuing the book series for her? And just tell her how amazing her Forbidden Games Series and Nightworld Series are and that they made up a huge part of my childhood.

melissa grey8 Melissa Grey

Melissa Grey has just realised her debut novel The Girl at Midnight. I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of this and really enjoyed it. I would love to meet her and find out how she is finding it now that her first book has been published and whether there is anything she would change in her novel now, if at all? Many have compared it to City of Bones and Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and I’d love to see how she feels about that. (Personally I would be really happy with that comparison).

jojo moyes

9 Jojo Moyes

I am such a big fan of her work! I would like to ask her how she goes about starting/planning her books, especially her books with a historical hop (e.g. Ship of Brides). Does have a lot of historical knowledge to begin with? Does any of it come from other people telling her about their history?

BB

neil gaiman

10 Neil Gaiman

I think I would be too star struck to actually talk to Neil Gaiman at all! But just to see him in person and get him to sign any book for me would be amazing. He’s books are a work of genius!

So that was our Top Ten but I would also just like to add this amazing man…

terry pratchett

Terry Pratchett. It is now not possible to meet this extraordinary man but if it was possible he would definitely have made our list. Just to have tea with him and talk to him about Discworld, that would have been a privilege.
