Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that other bloggers are welcome to join in, to create Top Ten lists on varying topics. This week it’s Top Ten Series We Need To Finish .
Paein
Next year I hope to really dig in to all my unfinished series and really clear up as many as possible, with that in mind this is only a fraction of the ones I have. Next year will be our Series Read year!
1 Argeneau series
By Lynsay Sands
I borrowed this series from someone I used to know, there’s at least 5 new ones on the list and I’ve been collecting them as they come. It’s about time to re-read those previously read and read the new ones. I’m quite excited, this series was pretty clever with the old vampire legend and their origins.
2 Artemis Fowl
by Eoin Colfer
I loved these books, we used to listen to them as audio books too. But the last one I read was the Time Paradox and I really want to know what happened next! I can’t believe I didn’t grab up the seventh book when it came out. There’s now eight and the series is finished.
3 Chronicles of Elantra
by Michelle Sagara
This is another series I previously borrowed and have since started to collect. Another one comes out later this year. I think I’ve read 4 out of 10 and I really enjoyed this world, I was totally rooting for the older guy! Yes, that means there’s a love triangle…but one of them seemed so out of his depth. Another comes out this year and while there’s at least 2 untitled ones in the works I really want to catch up with these guys.
4 The Heroes of Olympus
by Rick Riordan
I’ve only read 2 of 5, I heard that 3 had a cliffy end I was waiting for 4, but by then I figured I may as well wait for the entire series, which I now have…so this is another to read soon. I may have to re read the first series too. Apparently they sometimes even cross over with the Kane Chronicles, but I gave up in the last book, the dying guy/sister/god love triangle was a little meh so the cross overs may not make sense so I might skip them.
5 The Dark-Hunter series
by Sherrilyn Kenyon
I so badly wanted to read Styxx (#12) after reading Acheron (#8) but I stopped somewhere around #9 and when I last tried to re read them I didn’t get passed #6. Now we’re up to #14 (out this year) and I still haven’t read Styxx!!!! There’s also the spin off series, Chronicles of Nick, that fit into the reading order. I’ve read 1 of 6 ( the 6th out this year). They interweave so I need to read them in the right order, it’s all complex and a little confusing. Alternate time lines! Woo!….

6 Sookie Stackhouse Series
by Charlaine Harris
Apparently it’s been 3 years since I read the first one of this series. I read up to number 9 but decided not to rush on as, at the time, the series hadn’t finished. But book 13 Dead Ever After has been out for 2 years now and I still haven’t finished the series. It would be interesting to see if I can get back into it and who the hell Sookie ends up with.
7 The Fire Mage Trilogy
by Kate Bloomfield
This was an indie publication that I was given a copy of book one of back in 2012. I really enjoyed it and wanted to read the rest of the trilogy asap. Book 3 hadn’t been realised at the time so I was waiting for it before continuing. Sadly I haven’t been back to it yet but maybe soon.
8 The Fifth Wave
by Rick Yancey
I’m really excited that the first of this series has been made into a film. I can’t wait to see it! I am so far up to date and I can’t believe I have to wait till the 16th of May 2016 for the final instalment! Can’t wait to see how this ends!
9 Night School
by C J Daugherty
I have finally heard that the 6th and final book of this series will be released on the 4th of June (this year) and I hope to read the whole series back to back very soon. I really enjoyed book 1 but it was left so up in the air with so many unanswered questions that I decided to wait for the series to finish before continuing. I hope its good now.
10 The Lunar Chronicles
by Marissa Meyer
I read Cinder back in 2012 and have been meaning to get back to the series for ages. I can’t think of a better time than this year as Winter (book 4, the finale) will be released in November this year! Soo excited.
I haven’t read most of these, but Artemis Fowl and Heroes of Olympus are great (Number 4 is the best Heroes of Olympus IMO, so hopefully you get around to that one soon).

Great post I had to smile when I saw Rick Riordan on your list, I really liked his Percy Jackson books. I have to admit I haven’t read that Heroes of Olympus yet but it’s definitely on my TBR list. Good luck with your list
Happy reading,

Been awhile since I read Lindsay Sands and Sherrilyn Kenyon. Both great series. Good luck with your list.

Heroes of Olympus doesn’t exactly cross over with the KANE chronicles, (Bane Chronicles is something completely different, to do with Shadow Hunters) but there are three kindle crossover stories which take place at some unspecified time during or after the series that aren’t necessary to the plot… and the only lovey stuff is Percy and Annabeth
