Stacking the shelves is a meme hosted by Tyngas Reviews. It’s a weekly haul meme designed for book lovers who need to share the enthusiasm for books that have been bought or borrowed and that you might not get around to review any time soon.

When I started this post I had 4 books on it:

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
(pre-order paperback)
I’ve only read the prequel e-books of hers and the first Throne of Glass book, the e-books made her an auto buy for me, but I was a little disappointed with the first book, it didn’t quite fit. But I’m looking forward to this one!

Kin by Lili St.Crow
(pre-order paperback)
I’m not even sure why I’m collecting this series, I’ve not yet read any of them…

A Whole New World by Liz Braswell
(Netgalley)
A twisted retelling of Aladdin?! Yes please!! This is the first of a new series due out around September and I’m so ridiculously excited it’s crazy.

The One by Kiera Cass
(Netgalley)
Number three in The Selection series, they gave me one, but I’m still waiting to be accepted for number TWO…

However, I may have acquired the rest of The Selection series….including the e-books, even a paperback of The One. I enjoyed The Selection so much and I like where the series seems to be going and I want to keep reading. I have to wait for over a week to read them though. And I’m sad that I’ve stopped thinking about this storyline. While it means what I’m reading now is good, I love that little obsession-feeling you can get. I may have to recap with the end of 1 and see if I can recapture it.

I may also have received a pre-order hardback copy of Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge too….I think that this and A court of Thorns and Roses will make it into my bags next week. I’ve got a week away from home with work and while it’s unlikely I’ll have even the time to think about picking up a book, I’ll take them just in case. Otherwise it’ll be some time till I can read them.

Have you got any books you’re excited about this week?
