I can’t believe I read this over two years ago! I can still remember everything that happened and can still remember all the emotions I felt! This book will always be one of my favourites.
Jack and Lexi never had a typical relationship. After 2 years without speaking, she receives a phone call that changes everything. Here’s my review from two years ago!
Oh dear Lord! I was an emotional wreck by the end of this one! Anyone watching my updates will know I spent most of the time screaming at the stupidity of some of the decisions Lexi makes in Avoiding Commitment but oh my how I understood her motivation.
I liked the way this one was written, it gives you the past and the present in alternating chapters so you only know what you need to know at precise points. Which was great but also frustrating to cos you want to know whether you should egg her on or tell her to back the FUCK OFF!
But basically all you have to remember is that Lexi has loved Jack forever! Like FOREVER forever! And I found the best way to think of how Jack must feel is SMALL SPOILER – Maroon 5′s song One More Night. (The guys an ARSE!)
There’s a great range of characters, from the ditsy best friend Chyna, to the other women (who is a complete bitch) Bekah. The poor ex Clark to the oh so fit and sexy (and ooooh just amazing) Ramsey.
If you don’t like all that ‘will they, won’t they’ kind of story lines then this isn’t for you, but if your interested in an angsty, sex filled, roller-coaster ride then this ones for you. Absolutely.
