Stacking the shelves is a meme hosted by Tyngas Reviews. It’s a weekly haul meme designed for book lovers who need to share the enthusiasm for books that have been bought or borrowed that you’re terribly excited about or that you might not get around to review any time soon.

The Wrath and the Dawn

by Renee Ahdieh
I’d seen this book all over, but the cover was never anything that made me curious, it looked like the type of cover that is usually on books I don’t enjoy. Luckily Ms4Tune bought it for my for my birthday and I read the blurb and it’s at the top of my to-read list! haha

The Hero and the Crown

By Robin McKinley

While I was going through my read-it-or-lose it list to organise it for the ‘summer’, I discovered I have book 2, The Blue Sword, which meant I needed to buy book 1, I bought it as a kindle book however, because it was the cheapest option…

Dauntless and Chivalrous

by Dina L. Sleiman

I was lucky enough to receive CHIVALROUS from Netgalley, but I’ve been slack in my checking again recently and so I discovered that it was book 2! So I bought Dauntless as an e-book with some amazon credits. ‘High Fantasy’ with strong female leads and pretty covers, perfect! (as a bonus, the covers sport girls with curly hair! Though one has it in a plait)

The Sleeping King

by Cindy Dees and Bill Flippin

Another book I’ve been lucky enough to get from Netgalley and one of a group I’ve somehow collected that will be out September – November, so keep an eye out for their reviews around the end of August/ start of September (the others include Steelheart, The Golden Braid and Twelve Kings). This one is a wild card because all I know about it is this:

The Sleeping King is the first in an epic fantasy series, featuring the best of the genre: near immortal imperial overlords, a prophecy of a sleeping elven king who’s said to be the savior of the races . . . and two young people who are set on a path to save the day

Monster

by C. J. Skuse

I was asked if I’d like to read this for review, another September book guys, and I said yes! I was so excited when it arrived in the post I can’t wait to read it.
