Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that other bloggers are welcome to join in, to create Top Ten lists on varying topics. This week it’s Ten Finished Series I Have YET to Finish
Paein
1 Dragonfly and the Glass Swallow
by Julia Golding
I read Dragonfly many years ago and I never realised it was part of a series. This is one of the ones I hope to cover in 2016 in my series read. Once I did though, I made sure I got The Glass Swallow with the matching cover. It was first published in 2010.
2 Healer and Seer
by Victoria Hanley
Another that I didn’t realise it was a series till years after reading book 1. This one had three books in the series however and I do own them. Unfortunately book 2 is a hardback and does not match. Sad times. The last book in this series was originally first published in 2004!
3 Walker Papers
by C.E.Murphy
I’ve read the first three, it must have been just after the third one came out because I swear I spent a long time waiting for news on the rest of the series. I gave up though, sometime before August 2007 (when book 4 came out) so I’ve missed that there are now NINE! I need to re-read the first three though, to make sure that I do still want to read the rest of the series before buying any more. I loved them though, they were so new. The last book, Sharman Rises0 was published in 2014.
4 Collegium Chronicles
by Mercedes Lackey
One of the latest series set in the Valdemar world, I believe this one is set when the Collegium is being built, or is new. I forget, I’ve read the first 3 or so, but it was a little while ago. Number 5, Bastion, was first published in 2013. They seem to have fancy new covers which means the older ones might be getting re-printed! This is exciting stuff! Unless they do that crappy omnibus thing. No one wants to be carrying around an omnibus, stop it now.
5 Vampire Academy
By Richelle Mead
I haven’t actually STARTED this series yet either, but I desperately want to. I’ve seen the film so many times (and I’m hoping the little annoying bits in that aren’t in the book) and the only reason I haven’t yet is because I’ve got review books to read and Read-it-or-loose-it piles everywhere, but I’m hoping this will be one of the first series I read when I do my series read challenge next year (financial year that is – April – because it gives me more time haha). Las Sacrifice ( the last book) was first published in 2009 and there is even a spin-off series to read too!

6 Covenant
by Jennifer L Armentrout
The final book of this series was published in 2013. It was a toss up between this series and her Lux series. I’ve started both of them but never got round to finish either. I’ve read 2 of the 5 novels in this series.
7 Anna and the French Kiss
by Stephanie Perkins
I can’t believe the last book in this series was released last year! It seems only a few months ago that everyone was raving about Isle and the Happily Ever After, but hey ho. I’ve only read Anna and the French Kiss but I own all three. So hopefully I’ll get round to finishing this series soon.
8 Maze Runner
by James Dashner
Techically James Dashner is still writing short novellas for this series but I class this series as finished. Strangely the last book was the a prequel published in 2012. I really loved book 1 and was surprised by how much I liked the film but still I have 3 more books to read to find out what on Earth is happening!
9 Guards of the Shadowlands
by Sarah Fine
I really loved book 1, Sanctum but I wasn’t sure about book 2. I’ve been putting off reading book 3 but I think it’s probably time to finish this series, for better or worse. The last book was published in 2014.
10 The Mortal Instruments
by Cassandra Clare
So I haven’t actually started this series, but it’s such a talked about series I think it’s about time I read it. The last book was published at the end of 2014.
VA is something you really need to jump on! I can say with total certainty you will like the books better than the movie. It has none of the very annoy parts the movie held.
I’ve only read the Anna and the French Kiss books from the ones you’ve listed. I really liked them, and want to reread them. I’ve only read the first book in the Mortal Instruments Series, but I want to continue it. It’s not at the top of my TBR, but hopefully one day.
Hi Emma, glad to here you liked Anna and the French Kiss enough to want to re-read them. Makes me excited to read them. I’m hoping to read the whole series back to back later this year. I’ve heard that you have to read Infernal Devices along side it though, is that true, do you know?
I’ve got Anna & The French Kiss on my TBR list – eventually I will at least start this series lol My TTT
Oh you should! Anna and the French Kiss is so sweet and Stephanie Perkin’s writing is beautiful! I hope you get to read it soon!
I’ve got Vampire Academy on my list too – I’ve already read the first book though. I did watch the movie and I was pretty disgusted by it in comparison to how much I enjoyed the book.
Check out my TTT.
I read the first book before seeing the film too. I didn’t mind the film but I agree its not as good as the book. I think quite a lot of the book fans hated the film because it really misses a lot of the books essence. I enjoyed the film though, even if it missed most of my favourite bits I need to re-read it and finish the series too.
