Stacking the shelves is a meme hosted by Tyngas Reviews. It’s a weekly haul meme designed for book lovers who need to share the enthusiasm for books that have been bought or borrowed that you’re terribly excited about or that you might not get around to review any time soon.

Mechanica

by Betsy Cornwell

This was a pre-order and I don’t think I’ll be able to read it before October which I’m sad about as I just can’t wait! I mentioned this in a Waiting Wednesday quite recently too, which can be found HERE. It hadn’t turned up at the time but it’s mine now!

Bloodlines

by Richelle Mead

I know I haven’t even read the first Vampire Academy and that this is some form of sequel series, but someone I follow on Instagram keeps posting this series and it just looks so pretty I had to get myself the first one so that I’d not forget my intent to own them as hardbacks. (or at least that’s my excuse, because that’s totally believable….shh)  Don’t worry, I didn’t blindly buy it, I read the blurb first! and it just makes me want to read VA all the more.

The One Plus One and Me Before You

by JoJo Moyes

On the 24th of September Ms4Tune and I will be taking a trip to London to attend an event featuring JoJo Moyes and her new book After You as she is one of Ms4Tune’s favourite authors. Having only read one of her books though, I thought I should choose a few more to read. I’m hoping to have time to read at least one before we go. I chose these two, mainly because they were the first two I clicked on AND they sounded good, but also because After You is a follow on from Me Before You and it makes sense to read that one…

I may have also got myself a hardback copy of both The Winner’s Curse and The Winner’s Crime by Marie Rutkoski because when I love a book I want it to be hardback. However, when I really love a book I end up with two copies because I don’t want to get rid of the paperbacks…Plus I think book 3 will be hardback, so they need to match after all…

What new books have you bought recently? What can’t you wait to read?
