Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that other bloggers are welcome to join in, to create Top Ten lists on varying topics. This week it’s Top Ten Author Duos We’d LOVE To See Write A Book Together.
Paein
This is a terribly difficult one, so I’m going to choose authors whose characters I’d love to meet! Love the crossovers.
1 Mercedes Lackey and Tamora Pierce
I don’t know if any influencing went on here, but I always thought they have some similar worlds. I’d love to see what Tamora’s Alanna, Jon and George would make of Mercedes’ Valdemar and the Heralds.
2 Rick Riordan and Sherrilyn Kenyon
Mainly because they both write stories with Greek mythology foundations and the Gods are so different so some kind of crossover would probably be hilarious. And adult. No children allowed. Maybe when the characters are adults in Ricks case…
3 Marissa Meyer and Maria Rutkoski
Just because I love both The Lunar Chronicles and The Winners Curse trilogy and some kind of cross over would be fantastic. I think Kestrel would get over her shock of being in space pretty fast and she’d be a pretty good ally in any battle.
4 Eoin Colfer and JKRowling
Because Artemis and Harry, that’s why. He hangs out with Hermione and we forget he had to be pretty clever too. But also Hermione and Artemis. And Holly. Just the Trio turning up in Artemis’ world would be ridiculous and needs to happen.
5 Lara Adrian and JRWard
Because the basis for their Breed/Brotherhood worlds are similar – ancient leader, grumpy dangerous guy etc – while the actual stories are vastly different and I’d just like to see how they all interacted because hilarity that’s why.

6 Sarah Fine & Jennifer L Armentrout
I love a paranormal series and would love to see what fascinating world these two could create together. Sarah Fine is the author of Guards of the Shadowlands and Jennifer L Armentrout is the author of the Covenant series. They have similar styles, with love-triangles and forbidden romances, and steamy sexual tension! Plus the fact that they both have amazing imaginations, the worlds they could create and scenarios they could make!! I think my mind would blow with this combination.
7 Gena Showalter & K A Linde
Some authors just have it when it comes to writing sexy romances. I don’t mind whether its a fantasy or a contemporary but a good love story is something I love to read. Gena Showalter is the author of the series Lords of the Underworld, while K A Linde is the author of the Avoiding series. Both are full of sexual tension and hot hunky men! I’d love to see the romance that would occur from these two joining forces.
8 William Ritter & Rick Yancey
I’m not sure whether its the writers I particularly want to see join forces or whether I’d just like to see what Jackaby (character by William Ritter) would make of Rick Yancey’s 5th Wave world! I bet Jackaby would have a brilliantly funny solution to the 5th Wave!
9 Sophie Kinsella & Katie McGarry
I enjoy Katie McGarry books but, as yet, I never loved them. Her books are always angsty and full of moody teens and sometimes I just want to ring their necks and shout at them to chill the hell out! I’d like to see what would happen if she teamed up with the hilarious Sophie Kinsella. I’m hoping that her humorous approach to angsty situations would make me fall in love with these books! (I really enjoyed Finding Audrey)
10 Laini Taylor & Leigh Bardugo
This is completely down to the fact that I love these two authors sooo much and would literally cry if they wrote anything, anything AT ALL!!! …even a menu! Seriously the idea of a menu by these two has got me excited!!! I need this… please, someone make this happen!
Liana Taylor and Leigh Bardugo I always get mixed so them writing a book together will either help me are make me even more confused LOL
It would be hilarious if the characters of Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl met!

Omg omg!! Leigh Bardugo and Laini Taylor would be EVERYTHING. I would snabble up that book quicker than a blink if it existed. *wishes hard to the book genies*
