While looking, I discovered Cinder is on a possible list. NOW PLEASE!

1 The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair

Narnia fans have been waiting for this since 2010 when 20th Century Fox brought us an impressive Dawn Treader after the serious mess up Disney made of Prince Caspian (What was the point of making Peter and idiot there Disney?? I assume you had one…) It’s apparently scheduled for 2016 now and despite debates on him now being too old, casting anyone other than Will Poulter as Eustace Scrubb would be criminal. He was spectacular in Dawn Treader, winey and awful to start (you couldn’t help but hate him) and then wise beyond his years to finish (you couldn’t help but love him) – just as Eustace should be.

2 The Martian

I read the book after I knew there was going to be a film – I was told I HAD to read the book first, so I read it knowing it was going to be translated visually and that just made me even more excited for the film. I know it’s out now, but no one will come see it and those that have seen it don’t want to see it again for reasons not pertaining to the film, so I’ll just have to wait for this one on DVD, but I can’t wait for the world to band together to bring Matt Damon home.

3 Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

This is apparently happening in 2016!! With Lily James and Matt Smith! I should perhaps read the original, then the book the film is based off of before the film. Let’s see if I can do that…but I saw Abraham Lincoln, Vampire hunter and that were pretty good so this will possibly be brilliant!

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

I rather enjoyed the book and staring Robert Sheehan it should be hilarious. He’s co-staring with Hailee steinfeld and it’s due in 2016. It should be a terribly sickly and adorable love story and I can’t wait

5 The Longest Ride

Another film adapted from a Nicolas Sparks book. I don’t actually know what this one’s about, but where I HATE the books I LOVE the films they make so I’m curious about this and the new one that I think is coming out next year. Plus this has Alan Alda in it and I simply adore M.A.S.H so that’s win win!

(Also, MOCKINGJAY SO BADLY!!! And Fantastic Beasts. But Ms4Tune beat me to that one, she wrote her selection first…)

I’ve gone for adaptations that I’m really looking forward to and I mean REALLY looking forward to!

mockingjay frankenstein 5th wave2 Me before you film fantastic beasts

6 The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

Release Date: November 20th 2015

I’m so excited to see how this series will finish. I didn’t really like the last book but I have enjoyed how well this series has been adapted to screen.

7 Victor Frankenstein

Release Date: November 25th 2015

Gahhh Daniel Radcliffe as Igor and James McAvoy as Dr Frankenstein! I literally can’t wait!

8 The 5th Wave

Release Date: January 2016

I loved books 1 and 2 of Rick Yancey’s 5th Wave series and I really love the cast they’ve chosen. I hope its as scary and mind-bending as the book!

9 Me Before You

Release Date: June 2016

OMG I am going to cry so much but I DON’T CARE! I have to see this film! I love Sam Claflin so I can’t imagine anyone better. Plus it has Jenna Coleman in it as sister Tris.

10 Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Release Date: November 2016

I love everything to do with Harry Potter so I’m glad they have found a way to return us to this magical world. I also quite like the sound of the play that will be out next year The Cursed Child. I missed out on the first batch of tickets but you never know… hopefully I will get to see it :)

  1. SciFi and Scary

The Martian adaptation made me angry. However, I’m kind of looking forward to The 5th Wave and Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies.

  2. Emma @ Emma Likes Books

I had forgotten about The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. I didn’t really like the book, but when I heart Robert Sheehan was going to be in it I freaked out. I love him and I can’t wait to see the movie now. I’m also really excited for The 5th Wave. I loved the book. I hope they don’t mess up the movie.

  3. Carrie

I’m really looking forward to Silver Chair too, mostly because then we are one step closer to my 2nd favorite book in the series – The Magician’s Nephew lol My TTT
