BOOKBOX CLUB is a monthly UK based book subscription box. Each box contains a gift-wrapped new YA book release chosen for its sheer brilliance, an invitation to their top-secret monthly online book club, hand-picked goodies created by crafty types and exclusive author content to bring you closer to the brains behind the books. It costs £27.99 a month, or £25 a month if you select a pre-paid multiple month option. UK postage is free, international posting will be additional.
(didn’t seem to be a theme picture, so I’ve used this!)
In this box we got:
1. One Of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus
2. Readers ring by The Locket Library
3.Stylish sticky notes by Paper Pipit
4. Hurricane pencil case by Book Box Club
5.Bayview Badboy candle by Meraki Candles
6. Jelly Beans
7. Mystery bonus book - Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index by Julie Israel
I wasn’t sure about this box when I first got it, I felt it might have been too contemporary for me. But I ended up missing two fantastic boxes! I’d also been considering trying to expand my genres again and when Meraki Candles said they were going to be in this box, decided it was time to reactivate my subscription, which is good because the next two boxes sound fantastic too!
I don’t think that I would have picked these books but I think that they both sound interesting! unfortunately I can’t pick them up right now because I’m on a tight reading schedule this July.
Yes, I originally wanted the box for the candle – it’s not weird, I’m a collector! That makes it better right? I know nothing of this character yet, but I look forward to finding out. It smells like Rum, black lily and cederwood.
Sticky notes are always useful but I have so many again now! haha, perhaps I should start using them again. The ring makes me think of Harry Potter – possibly because I don’t associate needing glasses for reading – I need mine for distance – so, yay! Harry Potter ring!
And finally jelly beans – not much to say about those really, beyond that they came in a jar with my name om it, so you can’t have them.
