My thoughts:

I hadn’t heard of this book before this box. It’s set in what seems to be a locked down England and he’s trying to get to Scotland with his dog? Sounds good. Though the blurb says needs to get to Scotland, so I’m really curious!

I know nothing of the Handmaids Tale so I don’t understand the reference of the cuff bracelet. I do have the book and I considered watching the show but I had wanted to read the book first though I’m not sure when I’ll get to that. I will have to google this bracelet now though. Hopefully I won’t find too many spoilers!

The pen is clearly a reference to The Hunger Games, though I didn’t realise it had words on the other side! Can you guess them? Something about favour…
I think it goes well this this shopping list notebook, which I Was planning to use as a shopping list notebook before I read the unboxed card and discovered that was what it was designed for anyway, not sure why this surprised me but anyway.

We were also given chocolate and tea! I wonder if these things come up in the book – of course they do – Dystopian Britain? Tea shortages will be a major issue! I’m sure chocolate will be an issue too, but it’s not quite the same.
Our chocolate is by a company I’ve never heard of, but I haven’t eaten it yet because it’s too early in the morning for me to eat. The tea is Dauntless tea! I think I’d have liked to have been in Dauntless, but I’d have been better suited to Amity.
Still going to enjoy the tea though.
