Wedding photographer Mackensie “Mac” Elliot is most at home behind the camera, but her focus is shattered moments before an important wedding rehearsal when she bumps into the bride-to-be’s brother…an encounter that has them both seeing stars.A stable, safe English teacher, Carter Maguire is definitely not Mac’s type. But a casual fling might be just what she needs to take her mind off bridezillas. Of course, casual flings can turn into something more when you least expect it. And Mac will have to turn to her three best friends-and business partners-to see her way to her own happy ending.

When I first read this book I immediately picked up book two. I prefer Nora Roberts sets of books as they always have far more information about the characters and always feel like they’ve been wrapped up better at the end. This was no different. I enjoyed each character and the set up for each of the next 3 books that starts in this one. It was nice how the characters had previously known each other but a little annoying how Mac jumps to conclusions but nobody’s perfect.
When I re-read it, I did find the lists of things in people speeches annoying, but this is perhaps because I’ve had it pointed out to me within something Russell T Davies has written, that people don’t actually speak this way.
This will certainly be being added to my favourite Nora Roberts books list.
