My thoughts:
Oh boy, it’s been a while since I read Percy Jackson and I never finished series 2. To be fair, all of series 2 wasn’t out! now there are all these other books and it’s just such a huge task! Or so it seems. Where was I? Oh yes, so I’ve forgotten most of what I knew and really can’t place most of these! Except Seaweed brain. That’s everywhere… But now I have the perfect book mark for when I return to this world! Apparently the other side is the first line, so I’m already on my way! haha
I like this print quote, it’s quite inspiring. Perhaps if I ever get around to putting any up this will be one of the first ones I choose. My favourite print type thing though is definitely ‘Remake the wild a little at a time.” I don’t know it just sounds so…plant-y. But it’s something that actually happens. Abandoned buildings and lost villages with trees growing through and around them. They’re powerful pictures and this makes me think of them.
The other mini print is pretty great too and now I really want to re-read this book series and find out it’s context and who said it.
I really don’t remember that the pegasi greeted Percy with “Hey, Boss!” oh gosh, but yay! Lapel pin! And I’m in Hades Cabin with my Hades badge! I’m quite pleased with this – I think he’s a very misinterpreted god – he was always made to be the bad guy when he seems to be the most stable of the brothers…
A patch! I don’t know what to do with my patches – maybe put it on the book sleeve! though I think I’m falling out of love with book sleeves now, I have a whole pile and nowhere to put them…
I also like the quote on the sticker! Is that a Percy quote? That seems like a Percy quote…
And last but not least the candle! I love a good ol’ candle. This one is named for Poseidon “Ol’ Barnacle Beard”. Haha! It smells quite nice – sea mist and driftwood – I’ll have to see what candles I can pair it with!
Quite an interesting box – I’m disappointed at how much I’ve forgotten about this series though!
I won’t be purchasing the next special box as it’s Hamilton and I have no interest in this. I did consider it – for the bookmark! But if I really get twitchy I’m sure it will be available on Nerdypost.com at some point.
The one after that though….well, it might just be Firefly and that’s a requirement!!
